Problems/Potentials

 Problems and potential in Peckham:

Peckham library is one of the key reasons people come to this area. It's a prime area and has a lovely area to walk around in front of it. The problem is, there is a corner of building blocking of the view of seeing the buildings. If you were walking past you wouldn’t even know that the library was there. By demolishing them it could make this area special and easy to see from the high street so maybe people would be more inclined to visit.

Peckham Rye Park is a great green space for people to hang out and spend time outside. Sadly this is one of the only green spaces in the centre, so some development needs to be done to increase the amount of green space.

This area feels like it has a lot more potential. It could be a great area to build a new shopping area as well as an area for social events. Filled with lots of trees.

The train station building is beautiful but is hidden by all these other buildings. When exiting the train station is very confusing where you are and how you get onto the main high street. This area could be developed to take more advantage of the train station building.

There are no set bike lanes in the centre of Peckham which doesn’t help with healthy living and reduce CO2 level. There is also no hospital in the centre of Peckham which is an important factor in a city.
